Bringing Clean Water to Tsaraotana Hospital:
In the village of Tsaraotana, about 6,000 residents depend on the heavily polluted Tsiribihina River for water. This river exposes the community to serious health risks, including diarrhea, cholera, schistosomiasis, and typhoid—and even fatal crocodile attacks occur each year. The local hospital is inadequately equipped and the building itself is in poor condition, compounding the threat
2. March 2026 Activities carried out
1) Complete solar-powered water system installed, including a 15-meter well (5 meters of water), storage tank, tap, and solar panels—fully tested and operational.
2)Renovated the health post (walls, furniture, cleaning).
3) Constructed a toilet and shower for the hospital post and purchased chairs and cleaning materials for the facility.
4) Conducted staff training on water pump maintenance.
